GE LM6000 gas turbine

The General Electric LM6000 is a simple-cycle, two-shaft, high-performance gas turbine that is derived from GE’s CF6-80C2 high bypass turbofan aircraft engine, proven as one of the most economical aircraft engines currently in service.

It was first introduced in the early 1990s and has since been modified and upgraded continuously to make it more suitable for various types of industrial use.

Its reliability, high efficiency and installation flexibility makes the LM6000 ideal for a wide variety of power generation and other industrial applications like peaking and cogeneration plants, chemical industries, gas processing, oil refineries and offshore purposes.

There are over 1.100 GE LM6000 units installed worldwide to date with almost 33 million combined operating hours.
